The UQMS Convenors and Representatives are the volunteer UQ medical students who devote their time and effort into the events and activities of the UQMS. The Society and the UQMS Executive and Management Committees could not function without these volunteers.

UQMS YEAR LEVEL REPRESENTATIVES

Primary representative for the cohort for the UQMS and the Faculty of Medicine, in particular with course coordinators, administrative staff, and other personnel. Year Representatives are also involved with a number of academic events and promoting social events. Large time commitment throughout the year, including exam and vacation periods. Available for UQMS members in those years only.

UQMS AMSA COMMITTEE

The UQMS Junior AMSA Representatives and Convention Committee assist the AMSA Representative with the numerous opportunities AMSA presents to medical students. These include Thinktanks, policy discussions, and CONVENTION!

UQMS INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COMMITTEE

Primary representatives for the international student cohort in the UQMS, including coordination of relevant events and liaison with Faculty of Medicine personnel. ISC members are additionally involved in a number of broader academic events. Significant time commitment throughout the year, including exam and vacation periods. Positions are available to incoming international onshore students (Year Reps) and Oschner and North American students.

UQMS SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE

The Junior Sponsorship Officer will be responsible for investigating a number of sponsorship deals with vendors, aid in communication to convenors and help out in the major sponsorship events.

ASHINTOSH FOUNDATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The Ashintosh Management Committee are UQMS members responsible for the activities of the Ashintosh Foundation. These include coordinating and putting on events that fundraise for the Foundation (Coffeehouse and Trivia Night), organising its sporting endeavours, managing its website and social media presence, and convening the Teddy Bear Hospital.
