INTERESTED IN TUTORING?
The next tutoring period will commence in January 2012.
The School of Medicine is recruiting senior MBBS students or recent graduates with recent success in USMLE Step 1 for part-time positions as USMLE Tutors to junior students.
To apply for tutoring, please complete the USMLE Step 1 Tutoring Application Form and send it to global@som.uq.edu.au from your UQ Connect email address or post by 3pm, Friday 6th January 2012. No further applications for this round will be accepted after this date. No late applications will be accepted. The expression of interest from the SoM is available here.
This project was a quite large and lengthy task this year for the entire subcommittee. It was truly a team effort to obtain this with all year levels and student reps (IMU & Ochsner) helping out tremendously. A big thanks goes out to them all!

In 2012, SoM is offering study grants to help international students prepare for the necessary licensing examinations for the USA and Canada.
The SoM and UQMS have worked together to create a number of study grant options allowing popular and highly recommended study resources to be available for little to no cost to students.
In addition to these grants, SoM is introducing optional USMLE Step 1 tutoring sessions to international students in MBBS Year 2. These tutorials are designed to complement the MBBS Year 2 curriculum by aligning the USMLE study focus to the curriculum structure.
Information about the study grants and how to register can be found at http://www2.som.uq.edu.au/som/ CurrentStudents/Pages/studysupport.aspx or by contacting the SoM International Office at global@som.uq.edu.au or 07 3346 4866.INTERESTED IN TUTORING?
