Each year, on the last working day prior to ANZAC day, the UQMS stops to remember our medical colleagues and countrymen who sacrificed their lives to defend our freedom. In particular, we remember 14 past members of the UQMS who have died on duty in the defence of our Nation. This is a chance for all to pay tribute to the service men and women who have and will continue to pass through the University of Queensland School of Medicine.
The ANZAC ceremony is held annually on the steps of Mayne Medical School and includes a march by those currently serving in the Defence force.
All students, staff and members of the public are invited to join us for the service.
