The MBBS course is a difficult course to navigate, akin to crossing the Tasman in a row boat without a paddle. Years ago, some bright spark on the UQMS Executive thought that it would be a good idea for second, third and fourth year students to tutor their peers in lower years.
The program has been an enormous success ever since. Give yourself a headstart and jump on the gravy train – it is particularly rewarding. There are dozens of tutors who are willing to give about an hour and a half a week, for free. They'll do it because others did it for them. Tutorials are conducted in PBL sized groups and difficult topics are teased out at the leisure of students. Students wishing to partake in the programme should contact the Academic VP.
