Full Membership (for current MBBS students)

• Once only fee of $80 (works out to $20 per year for most students, but even cheaper for those who decide to stay longer)
• Large (15% or more) discounts for Balls, Kegs and all other UQMS functions* and merchandise – if you go to just two kegs and a ball per year, the membership pays for itself. On top of that, you'll get a total of 10% discount at the Herston Medical Bookshop.
• Receive online access to UQMS publications such as Notespool.
  
  • Please note that online access to Notespool will only be activated once you have handed in a signed membership form and received your keyring.
• Entitles you to voting rights in UQMS affairs.
• Ophthalmoscope Hire
• You get a great, numbered UQMS keyring which grants you your discount at kegs.
• Purchase Full Membership online below and avoid the long lines trying to sign up during Year I Orientation (cash only).

Associate Membership (for those who are not current MBBS students)

• Annual fee of $25

How Does Online Sign-Up Work?

• Your contact details are collected below.
• You are then taken to a secure server where your Credit Card details are collected by our partner, Verisign Australia. Our online service can accept Visa, Mastercard, or Bankcard. Those wishing to use other cards (such as EFTPOS) will need to purchase membership at the UQMS Office in Herston or at the Herston Bookshop.
• You will be sent a purchase receipt via email.
• Bring the receipt (or an ID if you don't have email access yet) along to either the UQMS Year I OWeek session, the Welcome Back Keg, or the UQMS Office at Herston to receive your keyring.

UQMS Membership Membership to the University of Queensland Medical Society is available for purchase online for MBBS students with a Visa, Mastercard or Bankcard. Membership has its benefits, bringing you discounts, support, study aids, advocacy and the chance to have your say in making life at the School of Medicine way more than just studying. Purchase online here.   Students can also join at the Herston Bookshop (cash/EFTPOS), or at the UQMS Office (cash/EFTPOS). 2011 Year 1 students are encouraged to join online to avoid the queues in O week. Please remember to keep your confirmation receipt with you to collect your keyring.
